SCORM, a set of standards, was developed to allow learning content to interoperate across multiple products, environments and tools. This needs to be implemented in our existing e-learning project. But the requirement is such that it needs to be implemented only for student performance records so that these records could be made interoperable. This has led to following queries which I have:-
1-SCORM talks about “educational content sharing”. Does it also means making student records interoperable among various LMSs?
2- Will providing such functionality make LMS SCORM/partial SCORM conformant?
Any help on this will be appreciated.

Hi shalabh83@gmail.com,
1) What is meant by "educational content sharing" is the content (elearning) itself (Sharable Content Objects - SCO). The idea is that once you create the training it can work in any SCORM conformant LMS.
2) I do not beleive there is any qualification that makes an LMS "partially SCROM Conformant). It is an all or nothing thing since the point of SCORM is interoperability.
