Sometimes the term SCORM compliant is used interchangeably with SCORM conformance. SCORM-certified Products are those products independently tested by ADL
Certification Testing Centers to meet the requirements of the SCORM Conformance
Test Suite ( Version
1.2 or SCORM
2004 ). Conformance is based on the SCORM Conformance
Requirements Version 1.2 document or the SCORM
2004 Conformance Requirements .
We urge vendors to provide link to their test logs and strongly promote products
that are SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 conformant! ADL has decided to change their wording from "conformant" to "compliant" when describing what is expected of a SCORM deliverable or product. The requirements for achieving SCORM compliance will be made available with the release of the ADL SCORM 2004 4th Edition.
From ADL: A “SCORM conformant” product is defined as a product
that has passed the SCORM Conformance Test Suite (Self Test), which indicates
that the product conforms to the latest version of SCORM specifications as outlined
in the SCORM Conformance Requirements. Anyone whose products pass the SCORM Conformance
Test Suite can claim to be SCORM conformant.
In order for your product(s)
or content examples to be listed on CONFORM 2 SCORM, when applicable, we ask
that you provide a direct link to your ADL Test Suite Logs URL to verify & showcase
that your product has passed the Version
1.2 or SCORM
2004 3rd Edition ADL Conformance Test Suite.
This request is optional for listing your service, but if your product (SCORM
Learning Management System LMS or SCORM Content Output) qualifies for SCORM conformance
testing then we urge you to take this opportunity to showcase your support of
the SCORM. We strongly advise organizations to request a copy of the ADL Test
Logs before purchasing any SCORM product(s). In addition, before doing business
with any SCORM vendor you should always check the following:

- Reputation & Existing Client List

- Credible experience with SCORM
